If you live near the city of Townsville, North Queensland, you would have already heard about the Kalynda Chase project. Townsville’s City Council commissioned the new housing development in September 2007 and, with the first part of a three-stage construction schedule already complete, properties are selling quickly.

Kalynda Chase is located just minutes from many of Townsville’s most popular amenities. The neighbourhood promises easy, everyday living, with lots of open space and nature parks. Clearly, convenience and accessibility are valued traits. So, with all considered, it’s not surprising that the developers chose to partner with Atlantic Civil Products, above the competition.

BMD Contracting initially approached Atlantic Civil in 2009, during the first stage of construction. At the time, BMD was looking for alternate solutions to accommodate three creek crossing applications. In each case, our answer was Super•Cor. Versatile Super•Cor combines the advantages of lightweight construction with the superior strength and durability of deep-corrugated, galvanized steel. The first installation, (3 cells) went perfectly. So, when the second stage of construction was announced, BMD had already decided that Atlantic Civil Products would be their preferred culvert supplier.

With the second phase of construction well underway, BMD called on Atlantic Civil once again. This time it was a larger crossing that required our attention. To complete the project, we supplied three more Super•Cor Box Culverts (5.8 m span, 1.5 m rise, 22 m length). Another speedy delivery and painless installation proved what BMD had hoped for: Atlantic Civil Products was the one to call for consistent project success.
