Wall installation completed in only five days

Atlantic Civil Products recently partnered with Abigroup contractors to design and supply more than 950 m² of our Atlantic MSE Structural Walls. The Precast Panel Walls served as bridge abutments, and are part of the Reid Highway / Mirrabooka Avenue Overpass Project in Perth, Western Australia.

Despite tight timelines and complications, the project went smoothly with all wall components being delivered, installed and backfilled in only five days. The wall solution had to meet Main Roads Western Australia’s rigid design standards, which require full-height precast panels.

Keeping pace with an aggressive timeline

As one of the city’s major highway intersections (60,000+ vehicles daily), completing the project quickly was key. We ensured speedy delivery by managing the supply process internally, communicating effectively with other suppliers, and working closely with Abigroup to ensure on-site efficiency.

To address potential issues, we encouraged constant communication between our team and the Abigroup project staff, who valued our take-charge approach and flexibility.

From start to finish, client satisfaction was paramount

At Atlantic Civil, we’re constantly striving to improve our process and provide more practical solutions to our clients.

As part of our end-of-project protocol, we asked Abigroup Project Manager, Leon Fogliani, if we could improve on anything. He replied; “We installed this wall two and a half times faster than we've ever done previously. If Atlantic Civil changes anything about this product, then we will not use them again.”
